What’s Blooming Today?

🌸 What's Blooming Today? 🌸

There is a question many of us quietly carry.

"What about me?"

What about my dreams?

My healing?

My story?

My future?

When we've walked through seasons of trauma or hardship, our eyes naturally become fixed on what is still missing.

The garden doesn't look like we hoped.

There are still empty places.

Still branches waiting to bloom.

Still prayers we long to see answered.

But today...

The Master Gardener invites us to stop.

To look around.

To notice.

Because while we've been longing for what isn't here yet...

Something beautiful has already begun to bloom.

Perhaps your joy is small.

Perhaps it's the first time you slept peacefully.

The first honest conversation.

The courage to ask for help.

The ability to say "no" without guilt.

A quieter mind.

A softer heart.

A deeper trust in God.

These may seem like tiny blossoms.

But every gardener knows...

The smallest blooms are evidence that life is taking root.

One of the beautiful gifts of our brains is neuroplasticity—our capacity to strengthen the pathways we repeatedly travel.

When we intentionally notice moments of goodness, beauty, gratitude, and growth, we aren't ignoring the past.

We're training our minds to recognize that healing is already happening.

The human mind adapts remarkably quickly.

What once felt miraculous can begin to feel ordinary.

That's why gratitude is so important.

It helps us remember where we once were—not so we can relive the pain...

But so we can marvel at the quiet work God has already accomplished.

The goal isn't to dwell in yesterday's suffering.

It's to rejoice in today's grace.

In today's first reading, Isaiah extends a beautiful invitation:

"Come to the water... Come, receive grain and eat... Why spend your money for what fails to satisfy?" (Isaiah 55)

How often do we spend our hearts chasing what we don't yet have, while overlooking the nourishment God is already offering today?

And the Psalm reminds us:

"The eyes of all look hopefully to You, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing." (Psalm 145)

In due season.

The Master Gardener has never asked every flower to bloom at once.

He simply asks us to receive the gifts of this season.

When we pause to celebrate even the smallest signs of growth, something begins to shift.

Fear loosens its grip.

Anxiety quiets.

The need to control tomorrow softens.

Our hearts become rooted in the gift of this present moment.

Because this moment...

This ordinary, grace-filled moment...

Is already filled with beauty.

The Master Gardener has been at work all along.

Perhaps today, take a slow walk through the garden of your heart.

Not searching for what is missing.

Simply noticing what is blooming.

Ask yourself:

🌸 What unexpected joy has appeared in this season?

🌿 How have I grown in ways I never imagined?

🌱 What small victory deserves to be celebrated today?

Then thank the Master Gardener.

Because every blossom—no matter how small—is evidence that His faithful work is bearing fruit.

"The eyes of all look hopefully to You... You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing." — Psalm 145:15–16
